IBAC periodically conducts surveys to understand perceptions about corruption and police misconduct in Victoria. In 2022, IBAC conducted online surveys with state and local government employees, Victoria Police employees, suppliers and the Victorian community. Over 12,000 people participated.

In May 2023, all 128 Victorian Members of Parliament (MPs) were emailed to invite them to participate in a perceptions of corruption survey.

In May 2023, all 632 Victorian local government Councillors were emailed to invite them to participate in a perceptions of corruption survey (noting that councils where Administrators were in place were excluded from the research).
