Former Victoria Police Superintendent sentenced following IBAC investigation

Following an investigation by the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC), former Victoria Police Superintendent Paul Rosenblum was sentenced yesterday for unauthorised access of Victoria Police information.

Mr Rosenblum was sentenced to a three-month adjourned undertaking without conviction in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court. As part of the adjourned undertaking, Mr Rosenblum was ordered to make a $10,000 contribution to Beyond Blue and a $10,000 contribution to Blue Ribbon Foundation.

The sentencing follows IBAC's investigation, Operation Dawson, into allegations the superintendent had accessed information from Victoria Police systems and contacted persons involved in Victoria Police investigations that were unrelated to his role.
