Monday 19 Jul 2021 Operation Betka
Operation Betka was an IBAC investigation into allegations of serious corrupt conduct at Victoria's Department of Education and Training. In July 2016, IBAC received a notification from the Department of Education and Training (the Department) pursuant to section 57(1) of the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission Act 2011 (IBAC Act), concerning allegations a contracted Senior Project Manager (the Project Manager) in the Information Technology Division (ITD) of the Department was involved in serious corrupt conduct.

An IBAC investigation into allegations that the former CEO of a Victorian regional health service misused their position and engaged in corrupt conduct, including that they subverted procurement processes and failed to declare and manage conflicts of interest.

Following a notification received in November 2015, IBAC commenced an investigation into allegations a former manager at the City of Ballarat Council subverted procurement processes to obtain financial advantage and failed to fully declare and manage conflicts of interest.
