Friday 16 Jul 2021 Operation Wingan
Operation Wingan was an investigation by the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) into the conduct of Victoria Police officers during the apprehension of a person (Person A) at Epping, Victoria on 13 September 2020. IBAC may investigate police personnel conduct in response to a complaint or a notification from Victoria Police, or on its 'own motion'. IBAC decided to investigate the conduct after receiving a complaint from a member of the public about the way police treated Person A.

Tuesday 21 Jul 2020 Operation Lynd
Operation Lynd was an investigation by the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission (IBAC) into the conduct of Victoria Police officers at the Hares & Hyenas bookstore at 63 Johnston Street in Fitzroy on 11 May 2019, and the cause of the serious injury to a member of the public, Mr Nik Dimopoulos, arising out of that incident.

Friday 10 May 2019 Operation Yalgar
IBAC's Operation Yalgar investigated allegations that in March 1996, officers from Hastings Police Station unlawfully entered the residence of Ms Corinna Horvath, assaulted her and other occupants, and unlawfully arrested and detained her. This case study summarises the incident, the allegations, actions taken by a number of bodies including by IBAC, and the outcomes, of this long-running matter.

Friday 22 Jun 2018 Audit of complaints investigated by Professional Standards Command, Victoria Police
As part of our work to determine how effectively Victoria Police handles complaints against police officers, IBAC audited a sample of investigations conducted by Professional Standards Command (PSC) during the 2015/16 financial year. This audit assessed whether PSC's complaint investigations were thorough and impartial and met the standards required for the handling of such serious allegations. IBAC identified that there are aspects of PSC's complaint handling processes that are concerning and require improvement.

Thursday 22 Feb 2018 Audit of Victoria Police's oversight of serious incidents
To determine how effectively Victoria Police oversights serious incidents involving its officers, IBAC audited more than 140 oversight files closed by Victoria Police during the 2015/16 financial year. The audit examined Victoria Police’s oversight of serious incidents resulting in death and serious injury following police contact. The audit identified that there are aspects of Victoria Police’s oversight process that are concerning and which could be improved.
