Victorian government infrastructure projects receive billions of dollars per year in funding and can be large, complex and delivered under pressure. Because of this, corruption risks - such as fraud, collusion, bribery during procurement and favouritism in recruitment - can have a bigger impact than in smaller projects.

In 2022, IBAC surveyed 12,000+ people across the Victorian community, state and local government employees, Victoria Police employees, and business suppliers who work with the public sector to find out what they thought about the prevalence of public sector corruption and police misconduct in Victoria.
This International Anti-Corruption Day, outgoing IBAC Commissioner Robert Redlich AM KC spoke to Melbourne journalist and lawyer Jon Faine AM in a live-streamed conversation about his five-year tenure as Commissioner of IBAC, and what's needed to prevent corruption in Victoria in the future.
