Following a notification received in November 2015, IBAC commenced an investigation into allegations a former manager at the City of Ballarat Council subverted procurement processes to obtain financial advantage and failed to fully declare and manage conflicts of interest.

In August 2015, IBAC received a notification detailing allegations of serious corrupt conduct by a project manager at Darebin City Council.

In April 2016, IBAC commenced an investigation into allegations a VicRoads employee engaged in serious corrupt conduct by accessing, altering and disclosing sensitive vehicle registration and licensing information without authorisation, and this information was then being disclosed to associates from outlaw motorcycle gangs.

In August 2018, IBAC commenced an investigation into allegations a former Murrindindi Shire Council employee used their position to purchase goods for the Council from their private company during disaster recovery following the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires.

Following a complaint received in December 2014, IBAC investigated allegations a Latrobe City Council employee inflated attendance records for an aged care program to obtain significant additional funding from Victoria's Department of Health and Human Services.
